Traveling Allowance
Under the Revised Pay Scales of 2020, the Government of Telangana has updated the Daily and Mileage Allowance rules for its employees effective Jun 22, 2023. The new rates are structured based on revised employee grades and travel locations.
Note: All employees are eligible to draw the full daily allowance for the entire duration of their official tour.
Daily Allowance (D.A.) Rates
Employees are now eligible for the following daily rates when on official tour:| Grade | Revised Pay Scale (RPS, 2020) | Tours Within State | Tours Outside State |

Mileage Allowance for Own Conveyance
The rates for using personal vehicles for official tours have been revised as follows:- Motor Car (Petrol): Rs.16 per KM.
- Motor Car (Diesel): Rs.14 per KM.
- Motor Cycle/Scooter: Rs.6 per KM.
- Motor Car: Restricted to employees in the pay scale of Rs.54,220–1,33,630 and above.
- Motor Cycle/Scooter: Available to employees in the pay scale of Rs.36,750–1,06,990 and above, but below the Motor Car eligibility threshold.
Additional Travel & Lodging Updates
- Lodging Reimbursement: Maximum daily limits range from Rs.600 to Rs.2,000 depending on the employee grade and the city (with the highest rates for Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, and Bengaluru).
- Conveyance Outside State: Taxi or Auto charges for travel outside the state are reimbursable up to Rs.800 per trip (to/from arrival points) and up to Rs.800 per day for visiting government offices.
- Public Transport: Grade-I employees may use A.C. TSRTC buses. Grade-II and III employees may use any TSRTC bus except A.C. buses, even if the destination is connected by rail.
